Manufacturing
INTERBOIS is a specialist in engineered white pine wood. We strictly control every manufacturing stage. From the preparation of raw material, through finger jointing technology, to the finished product, INTERBOIS checks every unit produce. We ensure that you receive a product that meets your expectations.

Our facilities
INTERBOIS is especially proud of its facilities. At the heart of the Beauce region, in St-Odilon, INTERBOIS’ entire operations are housed in two neighbouring buildings. Modernity and proximity for simple, effective logistics!

Drying
Every piece of wood used to make INTERBOIS components goes through our kiln drying facility that gives it a uniform and consistent moisture content. The same process crystallizes the resin using highly exacting methods that have been developed, tested and honed over the years by experienced personnel who keep abreast of the latest technological innovations in drying techniques.

Planing
Wood is first planed and canted to obtain a smooth surface. Then, the moisture content is measured on each board with a hygrometer. We discard any piece of wood whose moisture content exceeds our allowable threshold.

Trimming
An artificial visioning system (scanner) optimize each board by a trimming process that eliminates all unwanted defects.

Jointing
Finger jointing technology helps to produce higher quality engineered wood. Joints also provide greater stability and greatly reduce warping and torsioning often found in solid wood.
We use PVAC glue for its exceptional resistance to water, static and heat. This ensures joint stability even in humid or sunny environments, providing a product that is of much better quality than solid wood products.

Splitting
Jointed wood lengths may be sawn to specified thicknesses that respect product specifications and reduce waste to a minimum.

Moulding
Sawed wood pieces are shaped and visually inspected individually during production to ensure that the product dimensions meet specifications. This ensures that the customer will obtain identical components no matter from which batch they originate.
Our facilities have the necessary equipment to perform tenon joints, dado-heads or precision cuts on INTERBOIS components.

Sharpening
The quality and cleanliness of our cutting tools is essential for the production of quality mouldings. INTERBOIS has acquired reliable, high-performance equipment for this purpose, and so that our operations can be as fast and autonomous as possible. At INTERBOIS, rigour and performance go hand in hand.

Repairs
At INTERBOIS, we place a lot of importance on getting our staff to take responsibility for their work and for the product. So to ensure product quality, we make sure each piece of wood is handled manually.

Primer coat
INTERBOIS uses leading-edge technology to accurately primer paint every part coats on each of the product’s required by his customer.

Packaging
Because we believe that the added value can be created not only not the contents, but also by the packaging, we do not skimp on the packaging and we assigned of the staff specifically to this function. To assure a security delivery of our products in the respect for our planet, we use recycled and recyclable materials. We also respect the specific needs of our customers with dimensions personalized by packages.
